Jan 2004

As the New Year kicks off I have heaps to keep me excitted and on the go. I have already been in the studio working on my next CD and so far it's a real treat. I aim to release it towards the end of the year.
I finished last year performing at the Maryborough New Years Eve Party Festival. It was a great night with heaps of top local Maryborough talent, and a brilliantly run event. I ended up spending just on a week up there kicking back and soaking in some sun and beer.
One of next months highlights will be performing at The Sustainable Living Festival with Denise Smith. For a long time I have admired Denise for her vocal talents and dedication to the arts. It will be a real pleasure to finally perform with her.
So until next time.

This month has started with a bummer, as my best little mate (my dog) Ricki died. He was the coolest, magical, gentle, most loving dog I have ever known and I miss him heaps.
On a happier note, I love the fact that daylight savings is here. It seems to extend your day so much further and you can get a lot more done.
I am looking forward to playing in Central Victoria on New Years Eve, and am hoping to get more and more gigs in the region as time goes on.
Until next time keep, smiling and enjoy the warm days.

Oct 2003

This month I have got back into performing live and have also begun recording ideas for my next album. The gigs at Uncle Neils are great fun and I hope to extend these shows into the new year.
While the sunny days are getting stronger, I still managed to go for a walk through the forest in the rain (perhaps the last time this year). It was magical after having a couple of warm days, the smell of rain on the earth and the sound as it casacaded of the towering gum trees was enough to keep the mind busy on a sweet wet morning. I also for the forst time in my life actually saw up close a Whip Bird. While I am not a bird fanatic or anything, I have always heard but never been able to see this bird before.
This weekend daylights savings begins and that's got to be good for the soul.

Sept 2003

After taking a couple of months off, during which I have rehabilitated my fingers to the point where I am once again able to play guitar without making strange faces, I am now looking forward to getting out into the live scene once again. It has been painful not being able to play and I am thankful that the worst of it is over.
Spring has sprung and today it feels like it is right on time. It is so cool watching the natural world work through the changes of each season. I am now looking forward to longer days and warmer nights.
Cheers Steve
